Does Georgetown have public transportation?

Who can ride carts?
CARTS provides residents and visitors with safe and efficient public transit that is cost-effective and timely. Anyone can ride CARTS regardless of age or income.
Is Georgetown doing in person visits?
We encourage you to visit our campus in person and participate in our tours and information sessions. We can arrange for group visits for those interested in learning more about the undergraduate and graduate experience.
Is Georgetown test optional for 2022?
We will still accept scores from international Subject Test sittings, which will continue until June 2022. We recognize that international students often cannot take or should not take the Subject Tests. The lack of Subject Tests will not be a negative factor.
Is Georgetown worth visiting?
If you are tired of or not really into visiting lots of memorials, then consider visiting Georgetown. Georgetown is a little charming historical and sophisticated village. Go by bus, take the circulator (yellow) it’s a very nice ride.
Is it safe to walk around Georgetown at night?
Stay in high traffic areas. The University has emergency call boxes nearby. There are some alleys and trails in Gtown/Glover Park that I would avoid after midnight. Georgetown is safe as long as you don’t need to go into an alley to pee.
How hard is Georgetown to get into?
Georgetown admissions is extremely selective with an acceptance rate of 14%. Students that get into Georgetown have an average SAT score between 1380-1550 or an average ACT score of 31-35. The regular admissions application deadline for Georgetown is January 10.
How do you get to the Georgetown Metro?
BY METRO. The Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro station, located on the blue and orange lines, is a short 15-minute walk from Georgetown. The Rosslyn, Virginia station, located on the blue and orange lines, is a short walk across the Key Bridge to Georgetown.
How do I commute to Georgetown?
Metro. While the metro is a convenient method for travel between other areas of DC, it is the least convenient method of getting to Georgetown’s campus. The closest station is (a) Foggy Bottom-GWU, which is a 1.5 mile walk to the Main Gate, or (b) Rosslyn. The Orange, Silver, and Blue lines all run to both stations.
